Miss Quincy Recording Sessions: Farmhouse Concert

To celebrate her album recording finale Miss Quincy threw one hoe-down of a house concert at her family farm:

Miss Quincy Recording Sessions: Day Seven

Miss Quincy and co.haven’t left her recording cabin in over a week and I’m starting to suspect they’re descending into the depths of cabin fever:

Miss Quincy Recording Sessions: Day Four

Yesterday Miss Quincy’s recording cabin was taken over by a gang of wild mountain bluegrass bandits:

Miss Quincy Recording Sessions: Day One

As we speak, my friend Miss Quincy is holed up in her cabin on the banks of the Peace River recording herself a brand spankin’ new album.

Yesterday I stopped by briefly for the first day of recording … if you don’t hear from me for awhile it’s because I’ve closed up shop and headed for a therapeutic retreat at Miss Q’s Recording Studio & Day Spa.

Ulrich & Friends

I’m proud to bring you the interweb debut of Ulrich & Friends – a band set to storm Christmas radio across the globe.  Ulrich & Friends is an 8-piece band that could only have been conceived in a festively decorated womb.  Centred around Papa Ulrich’s Swiss accordion, the band also features a mad-crazy bearded viola player, the mad-crazy bearded viola player’s Mutti on piano, a pretty little flutist straight out of band camp, a Scotsman blowing his haggis-breath right out of his bassoon, the token American idiot plunking away on his banjo, and 2 vocalists who have decided to rebel against their Jewish and Jehovah’s Witness upbringings and join a Christmas band.

Recently I met with the first 6 aforementioned members to work on some photos for their upcoming string of seasonal shows.

Signore Sausage

To spite Mother Nature, that frigid bitch who thinks -40 Celsius is funtastic, I’ve decided to rub a scorching summer sausage right in her face:

Nanton, Alberta

Last month I hitched a ride on a Southbound Greyhound with a maiden who also sports my first name and last initial for something dubbed Operation Car Retrieval/Pepto Bismol.  The car retrieval portion of the operation found us singing across the golden Alberta prairies in the antique ranching community of Nanton.
