The Quincy crew and I have been holed up in Edmonton for the past week or so at a place we’ll call Chez Vacation. Recently Chez Vacation was kind enough to let Miss Quincy take over the joint for a house concert.
Featuring Miss Quincy herself on vocal wails, harmonica hip flails, and 15-year-old-boy style electric guitar wanking … Jacquie B on accordion and sweet, sweet harmonies … Steve McGonigle on upright bass and stoic ‘stashe stares … and Tyler Toews on guitar, banjo, and socially inappropriate speech impediments.
Welcome to All Citizens. Right next door to Senior Citizens, quite possibly Canada’s smallest music venue, and quite possibly my favorite Canadian stage. It was started 4 years ago by two artists (Tyler Brett and Serena McCarroll) who decided to make the move from Vancouver to the rural prairies.
The photos below are from a cram-packed (with Saskatchewanians, that is) show that Miss Quincy and her one man Sideshow (Tyler Toews) played on June 13, 2010.

Photographic evidence that Miss Quincy and Tyler Toews are spiralling into the depths of a dirty, dirty, electric duo. Photos from Loplops Lounge & Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie on June 4, 2010.
