Music To Make Photos To: Edith Piaf

It doesn’t matter that I don’t speak French very well or that I wasn’t alive in the 1940′s & 50′s … There’s something about Edith Piaf’s unbelievable lungs & tragic story and I don’t think there’s a CD I have listened to as consistently over the past year.

This has pretty much become one of those eternal soundtrack that I listen to when I’m waking up, showering, getting dressed, cooking, cleaning, driving, and especially while making & taking photos.

If you haven’t already, read about her tragic & mysterious movie-esque life, check out La Vie en Rose (the movie about her life), or listen to the song picks below.

Music To Make Photos To: More Cave Singers

I would be lying if I didn’t include more Cave Singers in the snapshot of my photo-making soundtrack as they’re practically all I’ve been listening to during recent photo activities. If you want to know the truth, I’m listening to them again right now and I’m afraid it won’t be much longer before my roommates confiscate my stereo and enforce a household Cave Singers ban.

The album accompanying my morning editing spree is their third and most recent – No Witch (2011).

Music To Make Photos To: The Cave Singers

The Cave Singers appeared suddenly in my life once upon two weeks ago and since then I have hardly been able to stop listening to the Seattle trio. Instead of calling them indie folk I’m just going to say they rock and I’m loving the pants off them.

The album on the right is their second – Welcome Joy (2009) – and it was the one that launched my current love affair.
