It’s a rare thing to be able to sit back and watch as some of the loveliest folks you know evolve into one of your favourite bands.
Jesse Dee & Jacquie B is that band. They’ve worked their asses off over the past few years and have gotten good fast. Really good. The kind of good that makes you dance your pants off & cry your heart out onto the floor & leave their show rosy with afterglow.
I’m genuinely excited to see what happens with their music over the next few years, and you should be too. They tour like road demons so chances are good you’ll be able to catch Jesse, Jacquie, and Blackie soon. Check out their website and tour dates here: www.jesseandjacquie.com

My month long music photo hiatus was broken last night when Scott Cook and Jesse Dee & Jacquie B rolled into Nelson for a house concert in support of the release of Scott’s brand spankin’ new album Moonlit Rambles.

It’s Saturday night and around me hundreds of people are visiting & laughing & drinking & dancing and I could just as easily be in the Wells Community Hall during ArtsWells as in Vancouver’s Rickshaw Theatre for Ambiguous Arts’ one night ArtsWells fund-raising extravaganza.
ArtsWells is one of the greatest festivals in the galaxy and if you haven’t already been make sure to get yourself there one of these years!!
