I’m liable to OD soon if so much great music keeps rolling through town and in front of my camera.
Last night Halifax’s Wintersleep and Syracuse, New York’s Ra Ra Riot annihilated Nelson’s Spirit Bar with an absolute indie rock explosion. To see photos of Ra Ra Riot, click here.

“Josh Ritter is sold out both nights … However, I just got us on the guest list, ha!”. And with that message I was on my way to the Spirit Bar in Nelson, BC … where little did I know I’d need to scrape my brains and heart up off the floor a few hours later.
Warm hard proof of brain blowing & heart melting:
I don’t know the last time I was at a show where one minute there’s an acoustic grip on my insides that makes me tear up and the next my boots seem electric and I’m boogying myself into a puddle of sweat. And I don’t know the last time I saw a show where the audience could actually feel the connection between the folks on stage and see their joy in playing music together.
Needless to say, go see Josh Ritter & co. Better yet, go see them twice. I’m certainly planning on it.
